We are currently recruiting hiragana and katakana courses at Wafuku. *The last deadline until October 30,2020.
(Complete beginner course, 4 week course starting from Novebmer2nd)

This is an online hiragana and katakana course designed for beginner Japanese language students. Through this course, you will learn how to read and write hiragana and katakana, be able to talk in basic terms about your country and daily life, and acquire basic vocabulary and expressions necessary for everyday conversation.

There is a maximum of 20 students per online class, and you’ll be able to practice conversing in Japanese with classmates from various countries, ask teachers questions, and study Japanese at home as if you were in a real-life classroom.

  • Do I need to prepare anything in advance? Please make sure that your Internet connection works and download the videoconferencing
  • I am worried about the quality of my Internet connection. Prior to the acceptance of your payment and the start of lessons, we will do a video call with you to determine your Japanese language skill and check your Internet connection to confirm that the connection quality is sufficient for online lessons.
  • Can I get a refund if I quit in the middle of the term?Yes—you can receive a refund for the weeks remaining in your term (calculated on a whole week basis) minus a cancellation fee equivalent to one week’s worth of tuition. 例：For example, if you applied for four weeks of lessons and quit during the second week, you will get 【 two weeks of tuition – 16,000 yen 】as a refund.
  • How do I get the textbooks? We will mail you the textbooks after confirming your payment. While the textbooks are in transit, we will send you digital materials via email. In the case that we cannot mail you the textbooks due to the corona virus, we will send you a digital version. In the case that you can buy the textbooks in your country or already have the textbooks, you don’t need to pay the materials fee.
  • How do I pay for the courses?There are two ways to pay: 1. Bank transfer (international wire) 2. Flywire (online). You will need to pay for any bank charges or fees.
  • Can I get a certificate of completion?We can send you a scanned copy of your certificate. However, we cannot mail you a hard copy.
  • Are there any school activities beside Japanese lessons? Yes, we are planning to host online lunch meetings for our new online course students and online exchange meetings with Japanese people at no additional cost to you.
  • After completing this course, can I continue studying Japanese class?Yes, you can continue studying Japanese via Zoom. Please inquire with our staff for details.
