Kimono rating(Type)

Kimono dictionary

Furisode (First Dress of Miss)

Furisode

The most gorgeous of Kimono is Furisode, whici the first dress of miss.
Depending on the length of the sleeve, there are large, medium and small types.

length of the sleeve

There are large ruler sleeves (about 115 cm, 3 rims, 3 rims), middle sleeves (about 105 cm, 2 x 8 inch), and small sleeves (about 85 cm, 2 x 3 mm).

Pattern , Fabrics

In the way that it is called a picture scrub, the upper part of Kimono has a pattern continuing across the seams of the collar · shoulder · chest · sleeve. The lower part is also arranged so that the patterns are continuous in the center of Okumi(An elongated cloth sewing to the front body to make the front width of the Japanese clothes widely) · armpit · back.

Fabrics used for furisode have many shiny, ground-tinted fabrics, such as Shusu chirimen and Monlings Chirimen.

Dyeing crest

Once used as a dyed Furisode, although it was dyed out crest, but today’s kimono has become a versatile color usage with a total pattern, it is no longer attached even if a crest is attached, so it is no longer attached.
Even if there is no crest, Furisode can pass wonderfully as the first dress of Miss.

Kuro Tomesode (First dress of Mrs.)

Pettern , Fabric

It is common to use cloth without tint block. The pattern is not attached to the upper body, it is attached to the painting pattern from under the collar to the front hem and back hem.
In the hem, the outer material is turned back, and a pattern related to the table is attached.
It is a gift that is suitable for a seat of a formal blessing such as wedding ceremony of relatives, which is mainly luxurious, including embroidery such as gold and silver foil combined with patterns such as Kisho pattern and Yusoku pattern.
This Kimono is sure to be dyed out and adds Hyuga five crests.

Dyeing crests

There are three kinds of dyeing crests, “Hyuga crest “, “Middle crest “, “Imprint “. Among them, “Hyuga crest” is the highest rating, and Hyuga Fiveprints are attached only to the first dress for sleeves, black mourning and men.

Iro Tomesode (color sleeve)

Kimono for official celebration

Color sleeve is a kimono of a color land that can be worn in an official celebration as a hem pattern with five prints. At the same time, taking advantage of its ornate ground color and rich atmosphere, it can also be used for rough dresses and social garments.
If you are using it as a rough dress, you can use it by lowering the case by staining it with a sunny three-sided pattern or using a slide-in pattern.

Senior citizens

Senior citizens may use it as a medallion crest when it is sticking with a sticker. This is too strong for a dark color crest on a light ground color, so use a mesonate crest in order to soften the impression.

for social party

You can also make a stain remover and make it easy to wear for social gatherings and party.
If you attach a sewing pattern to the color sleeve, the case will be lower than when it is dyed, but it will be a substitute for wearing a visit, and since there are also dignity, you can wear feel free as a fashionable kimono with a hem design.

Houmon gi (Wearing a visit)

for social party

It is a formal kimono next to Iro tomesode (color sleeves). From the fact that it is too overblown with kimono and because it is stylized at sleeves, a Houmongi was made as an intermediate kimono.
Houmongi is often used as social gathering because it is a “Eba Moyou(when opening the sleeve / hem from the back side, it is like a pattern that looks like a picture)” kimono that can be worn without distinction of Miss Mrs.

Dyeing crest

When you attach a crest to a visit arrival, it becomes a high-quality kimono as well. If it is other than dyed sunny Hyuga, three crests, most crests can be attached. You can wear it for wedding receptions for people with light relationships other than relatives if you add a single stain remover.

You can wear it for parties, celebrations, etc. as a substitute for color sleeves as long as Young Mrs.

As a decoration of the upper body and sleeves, you can attach Kaga crest and Yuzen dyeing crests freely, such as a five-color print, a three-color print, and a single print. Even if it is a five-ply, this is used for decorative purposes, so there is no upper or lower case according to the number of crests.

When attaching sewing patterns to visiting clothes, it seems to be common to attach one crest in general, but there are times when it is made into three patterns with an inconspicuous color system such as the ground color of Kimono and thin co-coloring.

Tsukesage

Pattern

The Tsukesage is a Kimono attached so that all the patterns are upwards, both front and back centering around the shoulder.
It is widespread because it can be worn as a casual outfit without distinguishing Miss Mrs.

Dyeing crest

Recent Tsukesage patterns have also come closer to Houmon gi(visiting clothes), and there have also been increased use for sunbathing and approximate dressing. There were also many cases to apply a crest there.
It is said that “It is better to make a sewing pattern on the Tsukesage,” but this is probably because of consideration that it is possible to have wider opportunities to wear as much as possible.

Komon

Pattern

Komon is a small pattern, which refers to Kimono packed throughout the fabric, famous for the name Edo Komon after the world warⅡ.There are many kinds of komon pattern such as shark crimp · small cherry tree · Qinghai wave ·kasumi · shippo, and express it with one color dyed.
Also, it is inconvenient if there is gloss on the fabric, as it is said that “Astrayness is the Edo Komon athletic face”, so it is preferable to use crepe such as Hitokoshi Chirimen(Thin, slightly wrinkled, solid ground). Different choices depending on age are decided by color rather than patterns.

Dyeing crest

If you attach a crest to a kimono of komon, it will be used as a kimono with a grain like a solid colorful kimono, but if you are going to use it for dinner, it is important to choose avoiding a congratulatory pattern.
If you attach a crest to a kimono of a small print, it will be used as a rough dress, if there is no crest, it will be used as a fashionable clothing.

Coat

Design , Fabric

The original purpose of the coat is practically made for cold weather and rain gear, but it can be used for fashionable just like clothes.
For kimono and sleeves for ceremonial dresses, one with colored dyed fabrics with profound feeling such as crested design crepe and crest chestnut crepe, suits you according to the fabric of Kimono.
Because the pattern of the kimono is gorgeous, the coat featuring one without a handle stands out.

Way of wearing

Women’s dresses are the right way of wearing without wearing haori, but one coat haori on black background can be used as a dress for condolences.
There is no black-and-white cloth for women with five crests, it is common to have one crest with a sunny spot, mainly a shadow and a shade.

There are things such as color plain, painting feathering, fashionable wearing as well as kimono on haori. In the case of a solid color, it would be a good idea to make the crest a one point of a coat.
Other coats are also coordination with Kimono and it is better to enjoy fashionable hairstyle freely, such as.

Iro Muji (Solid color)

Fabric , Dyeing crest

Iromuji (A plain kimono) is a handy kimono that can be used for both congratulations and condolences, by means of the ground pattern. Also, it can be said that Kimono can be used most effectively.
Generally, in Irimuji, many textile fabrics such as Mizuki crepe, crested design crepe, monro, monsha etc, are often used.
When applying a crest on a solid color, most crests can be attached except for dyeing out Hyuga five-color print.
Dyeing out If you attach three crests of Hyuga, the case will be higher than the one pattern of visit arrival, you can wear it in almost any dress as a dress.
Contrasting with the base color, it is also good to add Nakakage(crest) and shade crest(it dyed the contour of the crest whitely).
If you attach a sewing pattern, it is beautiful even as a fashionable wear.

Kuro Mofuku (formal morning)

Regular formal morning clothes, irrespective of Miss Mrs., use a stain with black base and dyeing crest.
We use Habutae or crepe for the dough, and Ro use in the summer.
Mourning is easy to be seen as a shade cresr even if you attach a crest, but it is a mandate to always have a dyeing crest on the first dress of celebration and funeral.

Yukata (Relaxing in the summer)
